Renowned artist Doris McCarthy donated her entire private collection and archives to the University, initiating a fundraising campaign to open a gallery in her name. The Gallery was integrated into existing campus space, providing clean, modern and flexible space approaching Class A status. The Gallery has become a principle exhibition space in Scarborough, and an important addition to the Toronto Gallery network.
