The Port Colborne Community Health Centre is the first of two sites that dp.Ai have been commissioned to design for the Bridges Health Services Corporation. The project involves the conversion of an existing 750 SM Bingo Hall into badly needed clinic and community space. Particular attention was paid to design for infection control, and the facility will receive new Class A mechanical systems. Many sustainable features were incorporated including sun control louvers, daylighting, motion sensors for lighting controls, and specification of renewable and recycled materials.
