Constructed in 1991 for an astoundingly low cost of $6M, Theatre Aquarius includes a fully equipped 750 seat proscenium style auditorium and a 125 seat studio theatre, as well as a full costume shop, rehearsal space, scene building and painting shops, an orchestra pit, and dressing rooms. The facility is the third largest regional theatre in Ontario and is one of only a dozen ‘A’ category regional theatres as designated in the Canadian Theatre Agreement. dp.Ai continue to assist Theatre Aquarius with studies and plans for the future.
