Presented by Hamilton HIStory + HERitage at 165 James Street North in Hamilton until February 2011. This exhibit features a number of Hamilton homes that were designed by various architects in the Modern Style between 1950 and 1975. Modernism featured sleek lines, industrial materials, open and integrated spaces, and little or no ornamentation.
The exhibit has been developed by now-retired Hamilton Architect Anthony Butler, photographer Jeff Tessier, and Graham Crawford, the founder of HIStory + HERitage. Be sure to have a listen to the podcast of the interview between Graham Crawford and Anthony Butler.
